Furor

This happens to me every year. I never know what the fuck I want for Christmas and I always get really crappy shit. So I leave it to you, reluctantly, O' posters of MMC, to think of something decent I can suggest to friends and family to get for christmas.

I've come up with...

Chronicles of Narnia Set
Lord of the Rings Triology
Matrix Triology

I'm just that lame...

You are 19, it is time to quit beleiving in Santa. There is no Santa. There is no Easter bunny. There is not Toothe Fairy. Grow up.

God you piss me off Furor.

Seriously though. I would go with the LotR trilogy. Matrix was good, but the last one sucked my Ass. Errr...and the chronicles of Narnia? That is Lion the With and the wardrobe right? You know that is a biblical story right? You do not strike me as the religous type. Considering the fact you are considering tagging a woman on the rag. It says it Leviticus(I think) that a man should not lay with a woman when she is unclean(bloody cunt and shit)

Hope you have a merry christmas.

For the Matrix Triology thing, I found somewhere(I can't remember where) that there is an Ultimate Matrix Collection, with 10cds with like everything.. It was pretty sweet when I saw it....

I don't know why but my friend said in Houston that PS2's were sold out just about everywhere. I'm suprised. Maybe everyone's broke or they want more than one, I have no idea.

When asking for the Matrix...whatever you do, make sure they don't buy you the limited edition set. It's not at all worth it. The display case is pretty cool (like a clear CD rack that the discs slide into), but it's MSRP is $130, and it retails for around 100. That's $50 more than the regular Ultimate Collection boxed set (that comes with the same 10 discs). So you (er, your family) would be paying an extra $50 for a cool looking case, a book, and a bust of Neo. So overpriced it's not even funny.

Granted, it looks super badass, though...

Oh...and you seem to be a science fiction guy, so my question: have you picked up the Star Wars original trilogy yet? If not, you may want to while it's on your parents' money and not your own.

...and if you're asking for the LOTR trilogy, get this one:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...&s=dvd&n=163431 (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000654ZK0/ref=pd_ts_d_4/104-7948820-5025555?v=glance&s=dvd&n=163431)

I own all 3 movies, but I haven't watched any of them yet (regular or extended editions). One thing I do know...those extended editions are pretty damn nifty, come with a hell of a lot more content, and at the price Amazon is asking right now...aren't all that much more than the regular trilogy.

One last thing: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe rocks my world.

I bought the first two before Return of the King was released. I waited to buy it, so I could watch all three consecutively. I haven't yet been in the mood for a 9-hour movie marathon. Someday, though...someday.

did you ever see them in the theatres then?

before ROTK came out, i tried to get tickets to the "trillogy tuesday" which was all 3 movies back to back with bonus photage. That didn't work, so my friend and I watched the first two EE and tehn went to see the midnight showing of ROTK, and took a final 3 hours after the movie got out

Nope, didn't see them in theaters either. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to Austin in hopes that I'll get tickets to a film marathon that starts at noon. Perhaps I'll have my own LOTR marathon tonight, because if I sleep, there's no way I'll wake up in time to drive to Austin.

I've watched the first hour of Fellowship. Quite entertaining so far. I'm not one for fantasy type films, so it took me a good half hour to get into it...but I like it so far. I'm just taking a pause while my dinner cooks. I'm not sure yet whether I'll watch all three films tonight, or the first one and a few other films.

The marathon I'm trying to get into tomorrow is the event of all events. Last year, it hosted the first public screenings of The Passion of the Christ, and Return of the King. Mel Gibson and Peter Jackson were both there, and did Q&A sessions. 9,600 people applied for one of 240 seats. I didn't get in...but there are supposed to be anywhere from 15-25 standby tickets available. Not first come first serve, or I'd be camping out right now...but you're supposed to get there at 9:30, at which point a few guys will come out and talk to the people there, and decide who gets tickets and who doesn't. I'm not too hopeful, as I anticipate there will be a rather large crowd and a rather small number of seats...but it's definitely worth a shot.

The ('http://"file://The"') first hour of the movie is long and takes a while to get into. After that it starts to pick up. Remember you can't play it off as a borring movie, because legions of fans sat through hours of the movie.

I went and saw Some Kind of Monster, where Metallica came and did a Q&A in SF.

My family doesn't do Christmas either. I don't think we've had a tree since I was 15.
I suppose I want a sewing machine for Christmas, just because I need one right now. Oh god I'm an old lady.
I'll probably just get random cute stuff from my roommates and my best friend and that's about it.
