I'm leaving Monday for New Orleans for UNT's bowl game, and I was wondering what all I should go see and stuff. Me and some buddies are staying at the Ramada on Bourbon street, what else is around there?

I have no idea what we are doing, so any info would rock.

I don't know. I don't live in New Orleans.

The times I've been to New Orleans, I've gone to the French Quarter and ate beignets. Aaaaaand I've gone to the Aquarium of the Americas, the IMAX theater, and the Audubon Zoo. So unless you want to go to the aquarium, the theater or the zoo, I've got nothing.

I recommend walking into a random establishment, preferably a fancy one, lifting your shirt, yelling "woooo-hhhhhooooooooo, boys gone wild!" and then walking from table to table with one hand extended, informing the patrons that "the show wasn't free, buddy...cough up those beads."

you could have gumbo..it's gumbo season but it's not cold enough so...I'd suggest not having gumbo, unless it gets cold, then definitely have gumbo.

And don't try the boys gone wild thing. People in New Orleans (...you didn't see that...edit...) don't have beads all year round. Believe it or not, Mardi Gras only happens once a year....and the parades last for a week so unless it's that week, I wouldn't suggest asking for the beads.

I would suggest going to Bourbon St. at night because I heard there are lots of drunk, naked girls there that are very easy and willing. I would know, I just got back home last night.

No shit? Damn...and I was totally serious, too. I just assumed that everybody in the town always carried around a supply of beads. You know what they say about assuming, though. Something about an ass, and not throwing stones at it unless it makes the heart grow fonder..or something.

If you like food as much as I do Colin, go to the Twin Sisters.
Its located near Bourbon street, Id reckon a couple from it, and its the best buffet ever.
Sure its an expensive one, about 20 dollars per person, but it has the besssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssst food ever.
I went for brunch one day and they had all sorts of pasta, crepes, duck, crawfish galore and mooooooooore.
