Ok so my school offers Forensic Science as a class and we got to do some cool stuff this week. We learned about all these different guns and got to hold and "shoot" a whole bunch that were bought in --- of course there weren't bullets in the room at the same time but the guns were cool and today we learned about blood splatter and had to do some tests with cows blood and dropping it from different angles to measure the splatter -- it was gross but interesting

does anyone take any cool classes like that? We did some gross things like we had to watch them take apart a body to determine cause of death and we had to watch this guy who committed sucide and that wasn't very nice either but I just think it's a pretty interesting class for high school. Now we're moving onto a unit on serial killers which is weird

That actually sounds really cool. I think I may take a forensics class when I go back for an elective. Never really thought of that.

The other night in the rain, we went into this scenario village with our Structure Gear and SCBA's on. Our masks were blacked out and we had to go in and do searches (Rapid Intervention Team) and get the downed fire fighter outside.

I took that class this semester...since it's required for my major. It was alright. There were some interesting tidbits here and there, but there was also a lot of common-knowledge stuff often made me wonder why I didn't skip for the day. It was definitely more interesting than Penology, though.

it's just a public high school, in my town Greenwich -- I enjoy doing the criminal psychology part of it and we did a little unit on the different Mafia's and stuff too -- a lot of it is watching movies because we can't do that much DNA work and stuff like that - there used to be this unit where you could take a little of your blood from a lancet and do some tests on it but last year there were a few students who took some of the lancets and pricked some other students and it was just really bad so they had to take that part out of the program

I wish my school had that, all we have is business law for the criminal science courses....but we got to see a murder trial at crowley, it was sad, but very interesting...

I've always wanted to go to a murder trial for someone else I don't know of course and just be scared of the guy that was prolly the murderer.

Sitting through a trial of any sort would be the most boring thing ever.

Plus major English writers 2, fiction writing, psychology of stress, and research methods.

okay well research methods won't be so fun but still
