when redux came out in theatres we went to the matine time and sat for 4 hours for 5.25. Not a bad deal.

Sure, you get more screen time for you money, but that doesn't mean anything. The added footage in Redux is nice to see, but it doesn't really add anything besides running time. The original cut was cut the way it was because it was most effective that way.

As far as the imdb ratings are concerned, the large majority of the films in the top 250 are from 80-2004. ROTK is also ranked #2 of all time, higher than both films. Doesn't mean it's better! I actually think that most critics will say that AN is a better film than Schindler's List.

I'm willing to bet you haven't seen hardly any of the films that are listed here. Also I bet you consider movies that are 15-20 years old old. Some people consider movies like the breakfast club, top gun, and the goonies old which is funny. :P

It's overrated. Only die-hard film buffs could truly love it in this day and age.. and I think, even then, they are just saying so because they feel like they're supposed to. :)
