That guy is a terrible driver.
His 4th gear change is a textbook example of how guys mishift and end up hitting 2nd gear instead of 4th.
You should always back-hand 4th (and 6th) gear when you're going to be racing/driving like that. Notice how he side steps it? What a moron.
Wow. What an idiot.

I read this a couple times and I don't understand what you're trying to say, Alex :(
The DSM sounds fast...but it also sounds really gross. I wish I could see the speedo to gauge how quick he's actually accelerating.

So what significant impact will not living in Plano have on your life?
What is the broader picture here? No more school? No more work? Living back at home? Living closer to school? Better job? Easier classes?

1. living back at home. lease is up feb 28th.
2. I can't afford living expenses + tuition. I can afford one or the other, and school is definitely > living on my own. If I didn't have rent I could have already payed the 2750 cash for school. My annual loan was only 3250 and each semester is 2750.
3. With this being said, they won't let me register until this is paid by loan or cash. I have neither.
hopefully this is somewhat coherent.
4. I still have 2-3 core classes to take (calc 2, etc) so I might just take those at eastfield, paid for up front, and try and get back on my feet financially-- at least until I can go back to UTD and commute, or even find another college to apply to and see where it leads. Possibly maybe look at a trade school on the side if I go part time.
5. Job is a big thing, however living at home my expenses will only be a few hundred a month instead of about 1000 a month. That and the fact that I hate this job. It is the main reason for my stress, because well...it's a dead-end, worthless job and I feel like I'm wasting my time there when I could be doing something more counter productive....like homework so im not up until 3 am doing that bullshit. The opportunity cost of not being at that job far outweighs what I get in return for doing the work, however I HAVE to do the job so I can keep a roof on my head. It's a very frustrating cycle.
The good thing is that I'm familiar with UTD now and know how their system works in case I do wish to go back.
The most frustrating part about it is how people think I'm up and quitting school because I'm not good enough/smart enough/tall enough whatever to make it on my own in college. Fafsa lost all my paperwork that I sent in, and I never got the loan that I was entitled to get until early november. It just seems like nothing worked out for me these last 3 months, but now since I took my final exam this morning, hopefully things will change and I can maybe get a weekend off. I haven't had a saturday or sunday from work since late June of this year.
I just have to look back at getting out on my own as an experience to keep note of. People like to say, ANYONE can afford to go to college. That isn't necessarily true. When the govt gives a full independent student only 1500 a semester to work with 3 weeks before the end of that semester that things just don't work out as planned. I might try and squeeze in some type of certification maybe so I can try and snag a better paying job when I move back up to the university level.
I'm heading out to the 'rents house tonight so we can see what my options are. This has been a very difficult, stressful, agonizing, but good learning experience for me. I needed it.

Did you take calc 1 out here? I'm kind of dreading taking calc here.. I've heard many-a-horror story about it =
Then again, I wont have to worry about that just yet. I'm gonna have to re-take regular algebra out here since UTD wont take my algebra credit from Eastfield
I'm quite tired of school myself..

i hear ya on that one. I did take calc 1 my prof was some old english guy. He did a great job throughout the course and made things very straightforward.
Stanford was his name I believe. My eastfield algebra credit went to electives as well. =
As far as how eastfield is going, i'll probably take math 2414 calc II and get that slut out of the way. Still trying to find something else that I could use, but the pickings are slim seeing how I've managed to get just about all of it out of the way.

I see you've taken your economics courses. :P
As far as the rest, that sucks. I hear you on that.
My thoughts:
Isn't it alright that your part-time job is a dead-end job since it's just a temporary 'school' job? It's not like you'll be there the rest of your life.
I would take solice in the fact that my co-workers will be stuck there for the rest of their lives. I mean... you know you're going places.
I like my new job. Fun people, good times.

Taco Bell is quite tasty.
I eat there for exactly $3 during the work week. Small drink, Double Decker, and a Bean Burrito = exactly $3.

Two cheesy fiesta potatoes and one pintos and cheese is 3 bucks, mix it in one bowl and enjoy.

I'm in the same spot.. the problem is that the job is just enough to have housing.. I can't make more money because i didn't go to school when my parents were paying for it, and now that i have rent, car payment, insurance.. all the great stuff that i didn't think about when i graduated HS.. Now that i have those things i can't take any time off of work. so i'm stuck. My fiance and i are letting our lease expire, and we are going to stay with her dad while we go to school. I don't know how people live on their own and go to school full time. I also live in one of the most expensive places to live, so that doesn't help.
