I think I'll be taking an MMC break for awhile, and since I don't need my points while I won't be here, I think I'll just give them away.

I'd like to clear up a few things before I go.

Reason Mike said he left me: The relationship wasn't going anywhere (Where's a relationship supposed to "go" after 3.5 months?)

Real reason: He, apparantly, cheated on me and didn't have the balls to say the real reason why he wanted to go.

Reason I'm insane in the membrane: I wanted my stuff back and he didn't want to bring it back to my place. Even though I quietly dropped his stuff off at his place, he didn't feel the need to show me the same courtesy.

Reason I no longer care: I took it rough at first, but I now realize that I can do better than some 23 year old who has no real goals in life aside for filing for bankruptsy.

I'll go ahead and take my leave so Keith, Mike, and company can stop monitoring my "insane" ways.

Who ever responds to this thread first gets my points.

*Must have a satisfactory employment record.

*Must be free from the use of any controlled substance or the excessive use of alcohol.

STEPS TO EMPLOYMENT
Applications are available at the Civil Service Office, located at 2014 Main Street, Room 104, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a. m. to 4:30 p.m. (Phone (214) 670-5915 to make an appointment for the examination).

The written Civil Service examination is administered in the Civil Service Office on Tuesday at 9:30 a. m. by appointment only. Applications must be filed prior to taking the exam. Please arrive at least one hour early and allow for 3.5 hours to complete the exam.

NOTE: Out of town applicants, if at all possible testing will be completed while the applicant is in town. Make sure that the Dallas Fire Department Personnel Unit is aware that you are from out of town.

When you receive your score in the mail from the Civil Service Department, they will also forward a copy of your results to the Personnel/Recruitment Office.

Wait for notification from the Fire Department as to the next step in the process.

MILITARY PERSONNEL
Applications will be accepted before anticipated date of discharge or release from the Armed Services.


WORK HOURS
Emergency Operations personnel work 24 hours on-duty and 48 hours off-duty. Fire Prevention personnel and other support staff work optional four and five day work weeks.
