yes. i played for the summer team and started 2nd and backed up like 1st short and left. we sucked cause we played all JV teams who could drive to the games themselves, and not have the mom taxi like us. we finished like 4-12. but i hae a good chance at making the team, i think.

Yeah Charles didnt play football for Metropolitan. Either way though the small school argument isnt very valid. About half our football team was heavily recruited to play college football..

Alot of the teams we played had 'stars' that actually QUIT their big public school programs to play for a small(er) private school

Athletics is athletics... I didnt play football but I can be pretty sure in saying that I would have been a starter in Basketball for just about any 5A school (and 4A, and 3A, and 2A for that matter...) :)

And like somebody said, the #1 sport in the world is soccer because...

Most of the world lives in dirt, and soccer requires the least equipment to play....because they are poor, soccer becomes the default sport of choice.

well actually I came out of the corner store and saw some G riding off on my bike and I had some 12oz cans that I just bought and chunked that ish at his head....CONTACT....he stumbled pretty bad but didn't fall off and I couldn't catch him :( But I'm sure he probably passed out when he got home...I mean, it was a very solid *THUD*

you can talk about soccer, or basketball or whatever you want.. but we all know that cross country is the hardest sport out there. the end. no questions about it. i want to see YOU go out and run 3 miles in under 20 minutes. WITH HILLS! when you can do that, with ease i might add, THEN we'll talk about other sports being hard. my sport is your punishment. now what?

haha i won't hit you. but really. come on now. you can't say that soccer running is harder than cc running. we'll go out and run 6 miles at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. yeah, when the concrete is soo hott that it burns your feet through your shoes. and then AFTER THAT SIX MILES, we'll do 400 repeats, at about.. hmm for me? 78 seconds a piece. with about 4 minutes rest in between. and then during track season we do 30-30's.. oh gosh those are brutal.

In soccer, there is no pace; there could be a slight jog straight into an insane sprint.

not to 'me', b/c i play neither soccer nor CC...however...i also say soccer running > CC running b/c w/ soccer you have to have great foot skill...witch is hard to do when running.....

i swam a mile every year for like 6 years in a row, yes at boy scout summercamp:) and i gurantee there is nothing more exahsting that stepping out of a pool from that.

i swim and run, and i think it depends on your body type...for some...swimming may be easier than running or vice versa. like to me...running sprints is so hard but to other people...running 6 miles without stopping is really hard. imo, it just depends on your strenghs, endurance, and all that stuff. theres so many things that determine whether or not swimming or running is easier and for every person...its going to be different.

k i will agree. swimming is probably harder than cc. but like joann said, i think it might differ from people to people. like i can do sprints no problem, or bust out with a good 6 mile. but swimming, erm.. i dunno. but it all depends on where you swim. its a lot easier to swim in a pool than it is in the english channel, just like its a lot easier to run around a track than it is to run at frikin PALOS VERDES! (trust me.. you don't want to go there)

You try to run constantly off and on full speed for 90 minutes, or have the eyes to see a man down field and pass it to him while three big ass defenders run at you hungry for that ball, and than take you out just as you pass and get turf burn so bad that you bleed for 40 minutes straight and you're still playing your ass off.

When I swam for Mesquite Varsity we genrally swam like 1 miles and a half a day. You have to be at top peak position to swim, you use every single muscle in your body even your ass.

i do. thats my off season. we play ultimate soccer. we get turf burn. we don't have shin guards or any other form of protection. so shut yo mouf little boy. and you don't run full speed for 90 minutes. theres times when the ball goes out of bounds. you get subbed out. AND theres a small thing called half time. and there is never a time when a guy is soooo far down field that you can't see him. the only people that can complain about not being able to see are FOOTBALL PLAYERS WHO WEAR GIANT HELMETS!

we use our asses too. and you have to be in top peak shape to run too. you have to be in it for any sport. i never said that swimming was an easy sport. if you will look at my post i said that yeah, it is hard, but its different for different people. like morgan used swimming to GET IN SHAPE FOR cross country. *shrugs* and you know what. i run 13 miles a day. do not complain to me
