Are you missing your live Metallica fix? South Africa just a little too far away? How about seeing Metallica in a club NEXT week?? That's right, the band is making their way to Park City, UT for the famed Sundance Film Festival and while they are there, thought it might fun to rock the Hollywood types hanging around on Main Street.
Here's the deal. The film "The Darwin Awards (http://movie.darwinawards.com/)" will be premiering at the festival on Wednesday, January 25, 2006. The guys are actually IN the film and have been invited to attend the premier and figured, why not play too? The live Met show will be a private party, and we have a limited number of passes for YOU!! The party will be held at Harry O's on Main Street in Park City and starts at 11:00 PM on January 25th. Sorry, we do NOT have passes to the film premier, but wouldn't you rather see the band play live??
There are, as usual, a few rules:
1. You must provide your own transportation to and lodging in Park City, UT for the show on January 25. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE CONTEST IF YOU DO NOT 100% PLAN ON ATTENDING THE SHOW.
2. You and your guest must be at least 21 years of age - NO EXCEPTIONS!
3. You must be an active Metallica Club member in good standing to win.
4. All entries must be received by 2:00 PM Pacific time on Monday, January 23.
Winners will be contacted via e-mail later that day. Please make sure that your current Met Club profile is updated and that you check your spam folders.
