Go to Target sometime before Saturday night and ask for a copy of their weekly sale ad. Take it to Best Buy, Walmart, or wherever and have them price-match the "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" special edition DVD. Target won't honor the ad, but other stores will price-match it. Target, on accident, included a picture of the film's special edition instead of the regular edition in their weekly $7.50 sale. So, you can get a $23 movie for $7.50 if you act fast, and have the patience to go to a couple of different stores (Target, and wherever you want to price-match).

That is evil. People do that shit at my company and it pisses me off. Good Consumers=makes me sad.

I say fuck big business, because they make enough profit to not even notice things like this...but I did feel a bit guilty punishing Best Buy for Target's fuck-up. Then I realized I was getting a kickass edition of a kickass movie for a kickass price, and I got over my guilt. If you think this is evil, you should see how badly I've raped Hastings with their 4 for 1 trade deal.

Ah, and they've done it again.

This week, the $25.99 (at Best Buy, at least) West Side Story special edition set can be had, using a Target price-match, for $7.50 plus tax. Target's ads are printed by monkies, of this I'm certain.

So, a kickass special edition set of an Academy Award Best Picture for $7.50. Can't top that (well, you can if you picked up the GBA set that started this thread, but you know what I mean).

I'm just glad to be able to cross this one off of my Best Picture wishlist after the longest time. I'd always hoped to find a good deal on the S.E. set, so I never bought the cheap release. Finally got my wish.

I don't know if I'll be double-dipping on Heat or not. I have other purchases to make...I <3 Huckabees, for one.

Two weeks in a row. This week it's the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang S.E.

Intended sale item: http://www.digitaleyes.net/details.cfm?inf...VD&affiliate=DA (http://www.digitaleyes.net/details.cfm?info=907032DVD&affiliate=DA)

Misprinted sale item: http://www.digitaleyes.net/details.cfm?inf...40&affiliate=DA (http://www.digitaleyes.net/details.cfm?info=MGD005540&affiliate=DA)

The one they meant to put on sale is the $9.95 title ($14.95 MSRP). Instead, they printed a photo of the $21.95 title ($29.95 MSRP). In other words, you get a title with a $30 MSRP for $7.50.

As always, if you want the film at a great discount...take your Target ad to a Circuit City or Best Buy and tell them you want to price match.
