i use comcast cable and i bought a dlink wireless router

set up hasnt been working at all, i had to install an ethernet card on this suck computer because its the host and has the cable modem (has been hooking up through usb). i'll go to the 192.168.0.1 to configure the router and follow all the steps but it still wont even let me connect to the internet on the computer directly hooked up to the router

basically i gave up and popped the usb back in

well the cable modem needs to plug into the router, not the host pc.

then you either need a cable from the router to the pc, or have a wireless card on that pc (id suggest wired if its close)

as far as settings, it honestly should just be ready to go. i dont think comcast has any set ips or anything, you just have it choose it when it connects to the modem.

i can come help u tomm night after the bbq or something. maybe today, but i doubt it
