Do you tip? If so, how much?
i wouldnt say i tip so much as i do the thing where i crouch and spin really fast
it really helps when you need to get around a loop and youre going too slow

Tipping is over rated. Why should a waitress get more money from me, just because I ordered an expensive lobster, versus a salad? She didn't convince me to buy one or the other, its not quite like they are working off of commision. Also, lets say the bill is 50$ and I have to leave a 10$ tip. I was at the restaurant for an hour. That means she made 10$ an hour, off my table alone. That does not include her hourly plus the other 6 tables she helped that tipped her with in that hour.
I dont understand people who tip for a beer that the bartender had to open. I will tip if they make me a cocktail. Something that takes skill since they have to know what I am talking about with out using a book to look it up.
And no, I haven't tipped at sonics.

I tip well, but never at Sonic. sorry fast food guys :(
Actually, I'll tip if they have a jar at some places near the register, but only if I have change I don't feel like carrying around. And even then, the thought of tipping change seems like I'm insulting someone. Like "here, little person, have my change, you need it."
Working for tips has warped my mind.
i dont even know what you guys are talking about. personally, knuckles is my favorite.

I'd rather put my money in the save the children with testicle cancer jars I see at the super market than tip in tip jars. Unless the person was nice, I'll tip. I'll also tip strippers.
Don't think I'm cheap because I dont like to tip, I really am not. I just dont think the amount of work they do justifies how much tip we typically give them. If they made .50 cent bills, (on paper) we would tip bar tenders that, instead of the $1.00

what did they do to impress me at sonics for 3 dollars? They came out with my food? That took 1 minute. That is not worthy of 3 dollars, or a gallon of gas. I could go drive 30 miles on that gallon of gas to pick up my food and drive it all the way back home instead of eating in my car.

Wait, I go through the drive-through. If I sat around, then yeah, I would tip.
I like Tails too.

Yes I do. If it's just a drink I'll give a single. If we get food, then we'll give 2 or 3 dollars. (extreme tots no ranch + ocean water = godliness)
Trent Steel
05-01-2005, 01:07 PM
do you tip for a beer?
turtle
05-01-2005, 05:40 PM
Yes, but not at Sonic :p . I tip anyone that works at a restaurant. If I get a drink at the bar, bartender gets a tip. I almost always give 20% of the total. If the service sucked then I'll probably only give 8-9%. We eat at the bar in most restaurants so the bartenders know us well (we're the "good tippers"). I was a waitress/hostess my last semester in college and my husband worked in various restaurant jobs - we know what its like to need the money.

i usually tip like 20% at restuarants, but at sonic i'll give like a dollar or something
Trent Steel

You can go to Carls Jr. and they bring you your food to your table. i dont tip there.

Well my thoughts are that they probably don't minimum wage. Most places that allow people to accept tips don't pay minimum wage. :)
