So I wake up from my morning nap halfway excited [and halfway nervous] about my new job.
I go in at 2 and I work until 10.
I have no money.
I assume at some point they'll give me some kind of lunch/break...but I've got no money. So I'll be starving by 10pm =/
And my mom is not home and nowhere to be found.
Darn that woman and her post-retirement activities. She doesn't even tell me she's leaving anymore. I just wake up and find her gone and she doesn't even leave me a note saying where she is or leave me any money.

lol Jonathan....how old are you now? I think she thinks it'll be alright if she leaves the baby by himself for a few hours.

No...she knows I'm flat broke. I had to borrow $30 from her to get my 'uniform' [black dickies, black polo shirt, black belt, black socks]..does she assume I mysteriously have grown money since yesterday? I was actually $2 short for my "uniform" at the checkout at wal mart :(
And it's not like she's gone a few hours. She's randomly gone ALL day and when I ask her where she went she's like "I was running errands"
WTF is that ish?
21 =/

You dont have any food in your house that you can pack into a lunch box or tupperware?

Can't you just make yourself a lunch or something?

No, he can't. Jonathan, buck up. I am sure there is somebody there that you can steal their lunch. Then when they bitch about it, tell them you saw the boss eating it. That way they will not pursue the matter.

You girls can ask James.
We never have food in our house. We always eat out...which has made me dependant on my mother for food.
But when she randomly leaves and leaves me no cash, I'm screwed.
AssMaster, what a great idea.
Should that not work, I've got a back-up plan. I stole my mothers bag of quarters. Sucks to be her.

Does your mom beat you with that bag of quarters? My mom used to beat me with a bag of nickels. She would beat the hell out of me, then expect change. I got a super lumpy body now.

Jonathan is right. Mother does suck at keeping a cromulent house of food, like any good woman should.
When me and Charlie run out of food at the apartment, and we're holding off on buying groceries as long as possible, I'll attempt to go home and weasle food from there. Along with toilet paper and any other things I can snipe.
But naturally when I get home there's less food at the house than there is here. And then if mother doesnt offer to take me out, I'm really uber-screwed :(

its true they never have food at their house and when i they did i would help myself to a large portion of it eventhough there was always some kind of crap my mom had fixed at my house... the funny thing is at our apt. when we "run out of food" we still have a completely full pantry and a pretty full fridge we just wait like 2 weeks going to the store so all the easy quick stuff is gone. i dont see how people in college can ever be 'starving' living off ramen and crap like that. me and james cook full blown decent meals constantly, we almost never eat out and if we do its out of conveniance not necissity. im actually quite proud of our eating habbits and situation as i assume james is as well.

but the point is their mom does not cook, does not have food in the house, shell go to the store once a week or every two weeks and get cereal, butter stuff like that and then enough for her to cook one meal consisting of mac, beans, rice and some kind of rice a roni/chickenstuff type pasta, or shell cook porkchops or bean and bacon soup. but like i said that limited number of meal plans she has is only implemented the day of or after she goes to the store otehrwise they go out to eat or eat fast food. i even think i can name that once a every one or two weeks she has food and cooks it.
the mac, beans, pasta, rice meal
pork chops
salmon patties
spagetti
bean and bacon soup
usually though the meal is either el fenix, steak and ale, fast food or several bowls of ceral. and now that shes retired she doesnt bring fast food home from work like she did so jonathans eating situation is as dire if not worse than he makes it seem.

i assume he took her quarters and went to work, he most likely ate lunch at taco bell. otherwise he got ahold of his mom or met up with ely or something.

I stole my moms quarters but I didn't even use them.
I didn't get a lunch break.
And turns out I'm cashier. WTF? They had some girl cashier 'train' me for about an hour and then they left me there. Not only am I cashier, but I'm also receptionist and every other thing that has to happen in the floor section of the store.
Needless to say it was a very very stressful day and my back hurts like a mofo now. No sitting, no breaks, nothing.
Also, my forearms are sore today. I guess scooping money out of the tray used muscles I rarely use doing anything else.
I know, I know...it's illegal for them to not give me a lunch break. I'm sure I could have had one if I asked for it, but nobody was around to ask!
So I ended up getting taco bell at 10pm and eating in my car =/

That you are.
Although, for the record, I did state before your first post that I stole my moms bag of quarters. I imagine you didn't read the thread though.
