my job kinda sucks i build bikes/furniture/displays for walmart, same thing day in and out i make a lil over 8.50 an hour and i work late as fuck. any one got it worse?

Not currently but...

I did daffodil picking one spring and it was peice work.

I was paid 10 cents CDN per bunch of 15 flowers. Each flower's stem had to be at least 6.5 inches and you weren't allowed to cut too deep into the dirt or you'd damage the other growth.

I paid
2 bux to take to bus out to the location
15 bux for my boots
2.50 for my cotton cloves and
50 cents for my latex gloves

At the end of my first day i technically made 17 bux for 8 hours of work(picked over 5400 flowers).


the high point was that since i was squating i was basiclly working out all day in the sun, and it was a very humbling experience to see entire east indian families out there together(16 year old kids to 70 year old grandmothers).

Anyone i've ever known to do it HATED IT more than anything they'd ever done.

i worked at gardenridge by town east mall, my manager was a butch as dyke named lorie, and she had tumors and spider veins on her legs, and she never wore pants, she would bitch at me to tuck in my shirt but she should worry about covering her gross ass legs, i quit after 2 weeks..

Oh yeah, if thats not shitty enough, for 4 hours or so, Im elbow deep in hot soapy water, which becomes oily at the end of the night, and lets not forget the other sink full of bleach water!
HOORAY! I loooooooove when the water gets in my gloves and makes my hands full of soggy fun.
Its a plus to smell like bleach at the end of the night, only to take a shower and still have the bleach smell permapasted on your hands.
Rarely do I have the chance to sit down, so my dogs are barkin hard at the end of the night, not to mention my lower back.
I have other duties as well; stocking the freezer, traying up rolls, more bitch shit like that.
God I got the life.

He wins, hands down so far. I used to work at a place called trinity rail car. I worked the graveyard shift, and had to duct tape up rail cars before they got sand blasted. I quit after I asked my supervisor what I could do to move ahead, he told me to sweep the walls on my spare time.

I own the privledge of being a cook at Pizza Inn. Plus, I only work on the weekends due to school and other circumstances. I spend a majority of my time rolling out dough into pans. But at least i get paid well, 5.50/hr and thats after my raise.

I love my job. It's pretty damn easy. I serve customers, and when there arent customers I sit down and talk with my co workers. I'm the assistant manager there = cool place to work. Day shifts are crap though cause our manager is a trailor trash, drama queen, lazy ass bitch. She barks orders but then pretends to make phone calls to "people" to make it look like she's doing something when really she's just paying her bills, talking to her husband, yada yada. Even my boss hates her. She called my boss one morning to tell him that the night shift didnt clean well and my boss said "well that's what morning shift is for..to clean up what night shift didnt" I love it. I laughed at her when she complained about it to me. She doesn't realize I hate her so much so she confides in me.

He needed a worker for the summer so my mom told me about the job and I took it. And they loved me so much that they kept me and a year later promoted me to assistant manager. I only make 6.50 an hour though. But most people my age are only making minimum wage or busting their asses as waitresses. I really can't complain.

yes...that's who I am talking about too. And yea he actually owns his accounting firm, the ice cream shop, and some copy machine place. His accounting firm is what brings in the money. His other two businesses are his play money. I pick up his youngest son sometimes to bring him to work and there house is incredibly huge and very nice. My boss and I are close since my mom's been working with him for years now and he knows I have no food now that I live on my own so every once in a while he'll send me some food at work. I love my boss and my job.

i get to use everything they have (tools, air compressor, jacks, car lifts), plus i get discounts on brandnew/junkyard parts, yay

apparently he gets some % off cuz he owns a business where they know he'll come back. u know? plus hes got a charisma to where he knows likea lot of people which in turn = many a hook up
