View Full Version : my poor nose!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok as most of you know i work at a vet, well monday i was holding a boxer puppy for an owner while they wrote a check. well the puppy wanted to play and it jumpped up and nipped me in my nose, and when i say in my nose i mean IN MY NOSTRIL right by my septum. it started dripping blood so after they were done i got up and sat in the office for about an hour with a kleenex at my nose. when it let up on the bleeding i had dr carter look at it and he said it was just a puncture wound, well i nummbed it and i went and looked at it and it wasnt no damn puncture wound! it happened at 4:30 i didnt get to the hospital until 7:00 and it was STILL bleeding! i ended up getting 4 stitches in my nose because my septum was exposed. i swear the shots to numb my nose was the worst pain i have ever had! they stuck the needle in the right side and shoved it all the way through to the left!!! ouch!!! but now i have a sore nose....

oh my! that is like the saddest/funniest workers comp story i've heard. Did you get any pictures of it?

no i didnt get pictures, and no i didnt stick a ring through it... and i will never get my nose pierced!! a little shot hurt like fucking hell!

Well like, being bitten and having a straight needle are two different kinds of pain.

I took my nose ring out for good a bit back. I kind of miss it today. ;__;

I took my nose ring out for good a bit back. I kind of miss it today. ;__;
the getting bit wasnt as bad as the 3 shots in my nose to numb it so i also got a straight needle

I got bit in the nose once. It was so bad I hat to wear a brace on my nose for 2 weeks.

I got hit in the nose today by a book my friend was trying to put in our locker. I had blood going everywhere. :(

This is horrible. I cant believe you got bit in the nose, who in the world gets bit in the nose and starts to drip blood all over themselves from a little puppy? Now that is some bad luck. Its one of those things that can be looked back on in a few years and laughed at, lol.

You should've come up with a better story. Like say you were making a trip to the white house for vacation, and you mention you were from Texas casually. The President who just happened to be listening in on one of the spy cam/mics hears this and gets excited and wishes to meet you. As he emerges the bearded turban wearing man unravels his turban revealing a rabid wolverine. you see this out of the corner of your eye and know there is only one thing to do, you race in front of the president and dive face first ahead of the speeding dog. The dog strikes and you become a hero. From this day forward March 15th would be known as Jenna day.

I crushed my nose last summer in a motorcycle accident, and had surgery 2 days later.

Mine hurt more.



...and I've been in France for a week and a half, so I have some catching up to do post wise.

Eh, I dont know. Id compare it to a knife wound, versus getting smashed with a baseball bat.
