I came across this interesting site while surfing the net about the electoral college. It's fun to play with and you can see the results of all previous United States elections. Check it out here:

Also, something interesting about Kerry's campaign. If the outcome of this election were the same as 2000, Kerry would loose by a larger marger than Gore did because of changes in the electoral college. Anyways, have fun.

1968 was a fucking crazy year. In 5 states, the green party got all of the electoral votes. California voted republican, while Texas voted democrat (second to last time Texas would ever vote democrat [through present day, that is]). North Carolina split their electoral votes 12-1, republican/green.

The 1876 election was ridiculously close...but not as close as the 1800 election. The 1984 election was a blow-out.

1976 was interesting....
