That's only true when the Rangers are sitting at home come playoff time. If they were a handful of wins away from the World Series like, oh, say...the Astros, you would probably find the game to be a bit more entertaining. ;)

Although it's true I may be more interested considering the stakes of the Rangers, it doesn't change my belief that game of baseball [itself] is quite boring and noneventful.

at any rate, it's game two tonight.

HRslammR
10-19-2004, 12:03 AM
and now, heading into game six, the yankees dominated, and now the sox facing elimination in two games win in extra innings. like whoa.

Astros beat the Red Birds with a walkoff homerun in the bottom of the 9th. Through 7 innings, both pitchers had a 1-hitter.

Red Sox beat the Yankees in the bottom of the 14th inning.

I stand by the idea that we need to buy a second TV, preferably a rather small plasma screen, to hang above the TV in our living room. It will make situations like tonight so much easier. Instead, we spent the evening in his room, with the `Stros game on his TV, and the Yankees game on his computer.

I hate the Yankees! They have that 181 million dollar pay roll and they have lost 2 games in a row to the Red Sox. Ortiz rocks my face off.

Go Red Sox!

GO YANKEES~!

Yankees have hotter players. Red Sox are crap.
When I played baseball, I was a yankee one year and we went to state playoffs. We were good. These are all reasons I'm pulling for the yankees and not the red sox

HRslammR
10-19-2004, 05:29 PM
it's funny how almost completely opposite both of these teams are. yankees are all clean shaven and sportin the yankee look like business suits.

while the sox are unshaven, colorful, and look like their uni's are unwashed. i almost expect them to be havin a beer in the dugout.

GO SOX.

Have you seen the Sox's helmets. They look like they set them on the bench in front of them and spit all of their tobacco on them.

Blair

Red Sox all the way. I don't rteally pay much attention to baseball unless these two teams are playing one another. Oh man, I have never loved to hate a team so much as the Yankees. To see their rival beat them makes me oh so happy.

Honestly though, Yankees will most definately win the series. They are too far ahead.

Aaron

This is the first time any team in baseball has ever forced a game 7 on a team afte being down 0 - 3 in a seires. Playoffs, Pennant, World Series, anything.

Oh my gosh, you didn't know that obscure chance that goes against all odds was gonna happen? What a fag. Nice hindsight.

Anyways, my whole family was cheering when the last strike was thrown. We hate the Yanks. BTW, when A-ROD hit the ball out of the pitcher's hand I thought it was funny, seeing how it was so incredibly blatant and he still acted like it was a bogus call when they reversed. Not to mention he actually never touched first base.

I don't personally care. I'll still lead the same life tomorrow no matter who wins but it's exciting. I played baseball for 9 years so I actually know everything that's going on.

Damn you, I was about to post that. I just now went in there to check out the score. My Dad said when he hit the Grand Slam the entire Stadium got quiet. Oh, I love to hate them Yanks. Stupid Pre-search paper keeping me from watching it....

NatrlBornThrllr
10-20-2004, 10:52 PM
The only reason I'm rooting for either team (the Red Sox) is because if the Astros win tomorrow and go to the World Series, I'll feel more comfortable playing a cursed team than playing a team that seems to win the title every other year.
